Elevating our community through style. Rachel Williams is Eugene's premier stylist for local, sustainable, mindful, and effortless dressing. Let's smash the myth that you need to spend buckets of money, live in a big city, or be a certain size to have great style! Rachel Williams Who doesn't have fun in a limo?! Rachel Williams, Eugene Stylist Stylist standing in front of a clothes rail with a capsule wardrobe on it Rachel Williams, Eugene Stylist The simplicity of a crisp white buttonup shirt (and a green velvet chair!) Rachel Williams Who doesn't have fun in a limo?! 1/6 Originally from Manchester, England (where the worker bee is the city symbol!) but now in Eugene OR, I wanted to find a way to elevate our community and realized that style is a pretty fun way to do that. My goal is not just having people look and feel great and not be afraid of what's in their wardrobe, but to make a financial and ecological impact, too. Shopping at independent boutiques supports small businesses and our local economy while reducing the carbon footprint with fewer delivery trucks on the road. (But if you are going to shop online, being deliberate about buying or renting gently used clothing that doesn't contribute to the climate impact of the fast fashion industry really makes a difference, too.) And then, what about taking care of the clothes you already have? There are specialists and tools that make mending so much easier, and I wanted to get the word out about those, too. Everything we own affects us, so let's work together to wear only those things that elevate us, and in turn we can elevate our community. Also, tea goes best with a biscuit. xx rachel You're women and men in Eugene, Springfield and surrounding areas who are getting frustrated with a perceived lack of good local shopping and the volume of clothes you have but still have nothing to wear. Perhaps you're having a life-renaissance and want to ramp up your style but don't know where to start or how to go about it. And your sweetheart or teenage daughter won't spend a Saturday going through your closet with you (nor should they!). Those nagging questions keep popping up... Won't replacing my whole wardrobe be so expensive and wasteful? Will I have to sacrifice comfort for style? How do I justify getting rid of things that I spent money on or were given to me? And what's the point of being stylish when wearing pj's in public * is kind of acceptable here? I'm not just a consultant; I'm here to be your cheerleader, to give you the boost you need to really look at what you have, what you like, what to let go of, and how to dress the body you have - all without replacing your wardrobe or being uncomfortable. You'll end up feeling fabulous, with your own style and a wardrobe you're excited to wear, and a community that benefits from your mindfulness. *oh please don't! book now Professional Affiliations: Kate Taylor Stylist Society and Preferred Stylist Directory Lauren Messiah Style Boss Academy Hue & Stripe Let's Chat Phone Email 415.305.6500 rachel@eugenestylist.com Proud member of Rotary International

Tailoring isn't just about getting a custom suit made or altering your wedding dress. It's also about fitting off-the-rack clothes to your specific shape. Tailoring takes a good piece and makes it fabulous, and can save a piece that needs repair. To get the most from tailoring: It's a relationship! Start off with smaller, minor alterations to see how they work before you give them a complex piece. Ask for a cost estimate before you go in for your fitting. Wear the proper undergarments or shoes at your fitting, and take any accessories that need to be considered. Be patient and plan ahead. They need time to do the job properly, plus seasonal demand around weddings, prom, and the holidays slow their turnaround times. Find a specialist if your alterations are complex, like beading or silk. Try your items on when you pick them up to make sure they don't need any further alterations. Learn how to do basic repairs (buttons and small tears especially!) that don't need a tailor.
