Three Ideas to Inspire Your Style This Week
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"I’ve resurrected some pieces by looking at them differently. Or asking, what do I need to do to make this work?"

It's such an a-ha moment for clients when they realize they don't need to accept a piece of clothing for how it is, but to see it for how it can be. This lovely client adored this shirt but couldn't figure out why she'd put it on and immediately take it off. When I pointed out the original elbow-length sleeve was creating a lot of volume across her chest and showed the difference with a cap sleeve, she immediately got the scissors out and hacked the sleeves off! Whether it's sleeve length or rethinking how you wear them, are there pieces in your own wardrobe that you can see differently?

3 WAYS TO WEAR IT: Navy Velvet Pants
This pair of navy velvet pants has been in my wardrobe for a couple of years now. I originally bought them for a special occasion but after realizing just how absolutely comfy they are, I was determined to wear them more often. It was only when I thought about using them as an alternate to denim jeans did their versatility really shine.
The lace blouse, wool plaid blazer, and suede boots create a totally texture-oriented outfit. | With flats and a floral tunic, this is a perfect outfit for general running around and errands. | The pants polish up for an event with a monochrome navy blouse and a pair of contrasting sandals. |
